- Description
- The CQRS Pilot Spinning Plant needs a device to replicate the drafting process that converts roving into yarn. This device must have the following criteria: -Must be capable of drafting cotton roving at variable settings of break draft -Capable of variation in roller spacing -Must have a mechanism to convert front and back roller speeds into a draft ratio readout -Must have a signal voltage vs. time output The results from the device are used to modify pilot equipment settings to obtain optimum yarn quality. This type of equipment is not common, as only a few textile plants and textile researchers would utilize it. The only new equipment available is from Custom Scientific Instruments as far as we know.
