Description
The 105th Airlift Wing intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with Advantor Systems Corporation of Orlando FL for the procurement of the following item: Procurement of an IDS System, OmniTrax buried ported coaxial sensor system for various areas on base. The OmniTrax system is the best fit for the installation and can be intergrated into the current Advantor system. This system is designed to be intergrated into the ASN Upgrade and Access Control System. Work will have to be done by a certified Advantor technician as not to void any exiting warranty and service agreements currently inplace. Installation of the following items will take place at the 105th Airlift Wing located in Newburgh NY. The authority cited is 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service Will Satisfy the Requirement. The reason for this determination is that this is a Proprietary System and the current Item possesses a unique function or capability critical in the use of the item and not available from any other sources. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firm who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm's ability to meet the requirement and objectives as described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond by Tuesday, Sept 13, 2011 10:00AM EST. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to complete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Funds are not currently available for this procurement FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds (APR 1984).
