- Description
- NASA/LaRC has a requirement for (3) solid-state harsh environment digital videorecording systems and (15) high-resolution miniature bullet cameras. NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Stack, Ltd. as these units will be used aspart of a joint project between NASA Langley and NASA Wallops Island, and need tointerface with the data system already in place by NASA Wallops. No other parts willinterface with the setup that NASA Wallops has already designed and is using. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon 09/16/2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
