- USACE Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to solicit one source under the authority of FAR 13.106 for --- CLUXTON INSTRUMENTS, INC., 2426 MARTINSVILLE RD, MARTINSVILLE, OH 45146-9703. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested parties may submit their quotations and detailed literature outlining specifications by email NO LATER THAN Monday, 19 SEP 2011 - 8:00 A.M., CST. No verbal responses will be provided. BACKGROUND: The (ERDC) Environmental Laboratory's Soil and Sediment Geochemistry Team has been tasked with purchasing a titration system to study contaminated sediment fate and transport. This instrumentation is a unique system equipped with specifically sized reaction vessels,instrumentation, and acidlbase metering pumps. The features allow specific control and monitoring of pH, temperature, and redox conditions in aqueous systems. This instrumentation also permits experimentation with elements under a wide variety of environmental conditions. REQUIREMENTS: At a minimum, the specifications below are required: a. A large temperature controlled water bath enabling temperatures as low as 8 Degrees Celsius. b. Three 2-liter reactor glass vessels with cover plates and ports for the measurement of pH, redox, temperature, acid/base dispensing tubes, gas purge tube, vent, and sampling port. c. Three large capacity magnetic submersible stirring devices. d. Honeywell multiple-input controllers for pH, temperature, and ORP measurement. e. National lnstruments CompactDAQ data acquisition chassis. f. Metering pumps for purge gas and acid/base dispensing. g. Recirculating chiller unit. h. Three each: pH, ORP, and temperature probes. i. Three each: acid and base dispensing tubes. j. Six acid/base burettes. k. Six acidlbase dispensing pumps. l. Must come with installation from a professional and also include on-site training.
