Description
Synopsis: This is an INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE announcement only. The 20th Contracting Squadron (20 CONS) Shaw Air Force Base SC, under authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, intends to negotiate and award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order contract to LivingWorks Education L.P, 440 Smmerlea Dr, Fayetteville NC, 28311-1172, to provide an on-site 2-day ASIST instructor training course, 300 safeTalk (SN1474) resource kits and 5,000 safeTalk (SN1761) resource kits to support Shaw AFB’s suicide prevention training program. The contractor shall provide the necessary personnel and materials to conduct the required training. The Government proposes awarding a sole source purchase order to ensure the continuation of the LivingWorks safeTalk Suicide Prevention Training Program currently provided at this installation. This document does not constitute a solicitation for offers. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Pricing data is not requested or required. No contract award will be made based on responses received. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes, nor does the Ombudsman diminish the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. When approached with an issue or query the Ombudsman independently assesses the situation and provides a response or initiates a resolution, and when requested, will maintain confidentiality as to the source of the inquiry.
