Description

The Regional Contracting Office Hawaii at Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) intends to award on a sole source basis a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract under authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, �only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisy the agency requirements �, to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Initia Incorporated of 81 Corbet Way, Eatontown, NJ 07724, for the repair and maintenance of the Commands Video Tele-Conferencing (VTC) INITIA/MADGE equipment so that the VTC system remains consistent and interoperable. Initia Incorporated has the proprietary knowledge, expertise and rights to maintain the INITIA/MADGE equipment; therefor Initia Incorporated is the only known source that can meet the Governments requirement. The period of performance will be a base plus four (1) year options This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOI), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The Government will consider all EOIs received prior to 19 September 2011 before 1500 Hawaii Standard Time on that date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. EOIs sent via the US Postal Service should be mailed to Commanding Officer, Regional Contracting Office (Attn: Fred Cartes), Box 63063, Bldg 209, MCBH Kaneohe Bay, HI 96863-3063. EOIs sent via Federal Express or hand carried must be delivered to Regional Contracting Office Hawaii, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Bldg 209, Kaneohe, HI during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm. This purchase will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) and FAR 6.302-1, �Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements �.
