Description
Notice of Intent Sole Source Requirement Number: 0010091610 The Army Contracting Command - National Capital Region (ACC-NCR) on behalf of The National Museum of the United States Army (NMUSA), intends to award a sole source contract to Exhibit Edge, 4315-A Walney Street, Chantilly, VA 20151. The contractor shall provide the development and preparation of a 20'x 30' rental Exhibit to use at the upcoming Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting to be held at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. There will be 21 panels of various images including the latest renderings of the Museum as well as the galleries. 13 of the 21 panels will need design and fabrication support. 8 panels will be repurposed. A custom video featuring the artifacts will accompany the displays. Tasks to be performed include, but are not limited to: hardware fabrication/rental services, show services, design services, drayage and transportation. Exhibit Booth must be completed and available to the NMUSA Project Office no later than close of business 28 September 2011. This announcement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five (5) days after date of publication (NLT 20 September 2011 2:00 pm EST) of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements".
