Description
The USPFO for California anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to a GSA contractor, Kardex Systems, Inc, to provide the following Kardex Remstar Shuttle systems and associated accessories. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 333923 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6; Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within five (5) calendar days from the date of the publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement on a brand name or equal basis including submitting specifications for an equal product. The specifications for the equipment are: 1 each new Kardex-Remstar Shuttle Model 250XP, VLM-2850-813-5150-HD. Unit is 125 inches wide by 115 inches deep by 203 inches high and equipped with 24 trays which are 112 inches wide by 32 inches deep by 2.95 inches high. (10) trays to be configured with 6 inch wide divider kits for small (bench stock) parts. (14) trays are open for general storage. Option 1: Includes Open Market Modification to be a Dual Entry XP-500/2850/610-5150. Unit is 125 inches wide by 91 inches deep by 203 inches high and equipped with 24 trays 112 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 2.95 inches high. (10) trays to be configured with 6 inch wide divider kits for small (bench stock) parts. (14) trays are open for general storage. Accessories: (10) Tray Divider Sets to provide (18) 6 inch wide rows 24 inches deep. Each row to be equipped with 4 adjustable dividers. Seismic Harware to bolt unit to floor as required by code. Installation of the above Dual Entry Shuttle by AOS factory trained service technicians. Rigging to lift component parts into place. 5 years Preventive Maintenance performed twice a year for 5 years. 5 years Warranty on parts and labor to keep unit running to factory specifications.
