Description
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: 1. Was there an incumbent? If so, what was the pricing of the incumbent's awarded contract? Yes. Previous contract was awarded for $349516.20. 2. How many personnel did the incumbent utilize in providing this service? We are unable to provide this information, it is up to the contractor to determine how many personel are needed to satsify the requirement in accordance with the Performance Work Statement. 3. How often is soiled laundry to be taken to the cleaning facility? Is it daily? Weekly? Soiled linens are picked up and delivered Monday-Saturday by the laundry contract. 4. How much time would the contractor have to return cleaned items, specifically personal clothing and uniforms, after they have been picked up from the base? The laundry contractor has a two day business requirement. 5. There is a discrepancy regarding the building numbers in the PWS. Paragraph 1.1.3 lists building numbers: 5187, 10263, and 220. Paragraph 3.1 lists building numbers: 5187, 10253, and 127. Please clarify the number of buildings and the building numbers. It should be 5187, 10253, 127. 6. IAW para 3.4 of the PWS (Housekeeping), the contractor is required to keep cleaning supplies on site. What type of supplies are required and in what quantities? Are these supplies to be maintained at all three locations? Basic supplies (mops, brooms, buckets, cleaning solvents, trash bags) and how much is needed is determined by the contractor. They are maintained at the three locations. 7. Of the items listed in Appendix 1 (Linen Exchange Service), please indicate which items are wash and fold and which are dry clean only? This is only a requirement on the laundry contract that delivers and picks up. 8. In Appendix 1, please clarify what the following items are: Item No. 39 Stain Wash- unserviceable linens that is stained or torn. The linen exchange has a requirement to have it cleaned by the laundry contract before issuing out as rags to base organizations. Item No. 50 Chemical Ensemble - It is a top and bottom suit with a charcoal lining used only for training purposes.
