- PARTS USED ON MTU ENGINES OVERHAUL OF VARIOUS MTU Parts List This is sources sought notice issued in accordance with FAR Part 5, FAR Part 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. For information regarding this acquisition, contact the Contracting officials listed herein. All inquiries shall be in writing. It is anticipated that this acquisition will be an unrestricted acquisition under NAICS 333618. The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center intends to procure parts and overhaul services for various assemblies to directly support the operation and maintenance of the MTU 20V1163 TB93 main propulsion diesel engine of the USCG 418' WMSL Legend Class of Coast Guard Cutters; in accordance with the following attached MTU Parts List and Coast Guard Statements of Work, entitled: a. "Overhaul of Various Assemblies Used on Tognum America Inc., AKA MTU Main Propulsion _Engines Model 20V1163 TB93 Installed on Coast Guard 418' WMSL Cutters, Specification Number R-260-0553, dated 06/30/11; and b. "Parts Used on MTU Engines Model 20V1163 TB93 Installed in U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Security Large (WMSL) Vessels, dated 06/01/2011" This requirement must be completed utilizing only genuine Tognum America parts from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Remanufactured or Aftermarket parts are not acceptable. The Coast Guard does not own the rights to the technical data necessary to evaluate other parts. Period of Performance: It is anticipated that a commercial firm, fixed priced requirements contract will be awarded with one base year and four option years. Place of Performance: At the prospective contractor's facility. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide the supplies and services described in the attached specification/Statement of Work are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within 14 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information submitted must include a guarantee that the offeror can obtain genuine OEM parts and provide qualified technicians that can remanufacture these parts. If you intend to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by email to Tara.N.Upchurch@uscg.mil. In your response you must include: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal for this solicitation as a prime contractor, and (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles and dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable. Your response is required by 29 September 2011, 4:00 pm (EST). Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. Submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited.
