- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) FA4877-11-Q-0537 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53, Defense Circular 20110819 and Air Force Acquisition Circular 2011-0714. (iv) This procurement is being issued under NAICS code 811310. (v) The contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, transportation, supervision, materials, equipment, and management to provide the following: Repair and Installation of Chiller/Cooler for bldg 74. See details below: Repair/Overhaul of Existing Equipment 1. Replace contactors on compressor #1 2. Replace crank case heater and pump contactor on compressor #3 3. Repair all previously reported refrigerant leaks on chiller 4. Replace blown fuse on micro board 5. Furbish and install twelve (12) driers remedy 6. Replace motor terminal and install new motor protector 7. Conduct full start-up of chiller and check operations 8. Replace fluid cooler belts and door gaskets 9. Pressure wash coils in fluid cooler to remove debris 10. Clean and adjust spray nozzles 11. Clean tower sump 12. Report results of analysis to customer representative Installation 1. Replace the two existing pumps with new ones capable of producing the required GPM for the D&B chiller. 2. Fabricate and install 6" CW pipe required to connect chiller into existing supply and return chilled water piping 3. Include 4" tap offs for the existing chiller 4. Two 6" hot taps to supply and return CW to avoid auxiliary chiller shutdown 5. Fabricate and install copper make-up water piping 6. Tie into existing make-up water line 7. Insulate and metal jacket on all new piping 8. Provide and install new conductors from the existing chiller circuit breaker to the existing chiller yard 9. Provide and install new junction/splice box and a new 400 amp disconnect switch at the existing chiiler yard location, if required 10. Pull new wire through the existing conduit 11. ¾" GRC conduit for new receptacle 12. Include connecting to the existing EMCS by Control Engineering along with programming for remote changeover between chillers. 13. Liquid-tite flexible conduit fit-up to chiller 14. Uni-strut racks and hardware as required 15. Weatherproof junction boxes and gutters as required 16. Termination to chiller 17. Lift rental for conduit installation Note: A site visit will be conducted at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base on Thurssday 8 September 2011 at 9:30 A.M. PST. PST Wednesday 7 September 2011. The place of initial meeting for the site visit will be at the Craycroft Gate (Visitors Center) NLT 9:00 A.M. PST. All personnel planning on attending and driving on the installation will need valid state driver's license, current proof of vehicle insurance and registration. No vehicles with company logos or decals, or work vehicles with equipment loaded will be able to enter through the Craycroft gate. Only privately owned vehicles will be signed on base. Background checks will be accomplished before receiving a base pass. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix) 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items applies. Quotes will be evaluated on price. (x) Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at, 52.204-8, Annual Representations and Certifications and submit with its offer.
