- The New England VA Healthcare System intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) with Olympus America, Incorporated, 3500 Corporate Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034. In accordance with FAR 6.305, the Justification will be posted to FBO within 30 days following the award. However, all other responsible sources that feel they can provide the following leased items and services may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. VISN 1 is seeking to procure a 36 month lease of gastrointestinal endoscopy equipment. The equipment sought is a mix of therapeutic and diagnostic: Colonoscopes, Gastroscopes, Duodenoscopes, Enteroscopes, ERCP Scopes, EUS Scopes, software, and peripherals as outlined in the breakout below: Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Equipment Needed: StationGI Video EndoscopesEUS ScopesSpecialty ScopesElectronics Boston VA Medical Center498134 Manchester VA Medical Center2010 Providence VA Medical Center351 Togus VA Medical Center169 West Haven VA Medical Center254113 White River Junction VAMC181 10 Totals:16313376 In order to meet the needs of the government, maintenance/service is also scheduled to be included in the procurement. The service packages shall include Comprehensive repair coverage that needs to include: next day shipping for all repairs; 24/7 technical phone support; online tracking capabilities for all repairs; and training and support. On-site back-up GI Endoscopes will need to be provided for the duration of the contract for any scope types which have a minimum quantity of six at a given facility. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than September 21st, 2011 at 4:30 PM EST. Responses should be sent to William.nalls@va.gov. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
