- Red River Army Depot (RRAD) intends to issue a solicitation for a requirements type contract for Environmental - Miscellaneous Waste Containers for a Base and one (1) option year, 12 month increments. Containers shall be new and conform to DOT specifications found in 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Delivery Orders will be issued with no guaranteed minimum or maximum quantity to be ordered and delivered. Estimated quantity to be delivered to RRAD include: four foot recycling drum (estimated at 75 each) eight foot recycling drum (estimated at 75 each) 7.7 gallon screw top poly drum (estimated at 150 each) 14 gallon open head poly drum (estimated at 150 each) 15 gallon tight head poly drum (estimated at 150 each) UN-Certified 5 gallon tight head drum (estimated at 75 each) UN 1H1/Y1.3/100, DRM659-RD Red Latching Drum Lid (estimated at 200 each) DRM659-YW Yellow Latching Drum Lid (estimated at 200 each). NOTE: The dimensions of the latching drum lids are critical to the proper fit on the drums used at RRAD. Contractor shall provide empty containers, all personnel, equipment, tools, transportation necessary to perform delivery of empty Department of Transportation (DOT) approved containers. Contractor shall be responsible for all equipment and personnel for the delivery, off-loading and placement of containers. Suggested delivery is 48 hours after receipt of delivery order. Containers must be performance-oriented and must meet the testing requirements of 49 CFR 178. All containers must be embossed with a UN symbol that indicates that the container was manufactured according to the United Nations Recommendations. The containers must also be marked with the Packaging Identification Codes that will identify the type of container and materials of construction and the Performance Standards code that identifies the performance standard and all other applicable markings required for DOT compliance. The contractor shall provide a project manager who shall be responsible for the performance of the work. The project manager shall be designated in writing at the time of award and have authority to act in behalf of the company on all matters pertaining to the contract.
