Description

Iroquois Job Corps Center Sprinkler System Repair The Iroquois Job Corps Center (IJCC) and Education & Training Resources (ETR); located at 11780 Tibbets Road, Medina NY 14103, Orleans County, are desirous of a certified, bonded, licensed, and fully insured contractor to submit a bid on the project mentioned herein; and if successfully awarded the subject contract, to satisfactorily perform the following work project according to the established criteria contained within same. Prevailing wages do apply to this project. Potential bidders must obtain a Dunn & Bradstreet (DUNS) number to be awarded a federal contract. Potential bidders must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before being awarded a federal contract. Final bids are due to this center, September 30, 2011 at 4:00 PM. She can be reached via email at McConnell.MaryJo@jobcorps.org THIS IS A SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY There will be a pre-proposal meeting and site walk through at IJCC but is not mandatory; Concerned parties will meet at the Welcome Center Office, located in the IJCC Main Building on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 10:00 am. The tour will be conducted by the IJCC Maintenance Manager Donald White. All questions must be submitted in writing to McConnell.MaryJo@jobcorps.org Questions will be answered via email. Scope of Work is attached and will be provided at the pre-proposal meeting. A bid bond equal to 5% of final bid is required upon notification of award. Bid pricing must be good for 120 days from date of submission. Bid Package shall include: copies of insurances, Dunn & Bradstreet number and professional references. Replace bushings with proper fittings in mechanical room. Replace missing escutcheons and lower heads as required. Replace gauges and add heads to spare head box. Add sprinklers to basement men's room, basement office, basement offices under soffits, hallway near basement toilet rooms and under stairs. Relocate heads in basement multi - purpose room and first floor outside RA office. Add heads under ductwork in mechanical room. Building #26 - Marshall & Brady Dorm Move sprinkler heads because of obstructions in A1, B1, B2, C1, and D1 janitor closets and dental compressor room. Heads are improperly located in the copy room, supply room, intro to center life exit and maintenance room. Relocate heads to far walls. Add sprinkler heads to spare head box. Install escutcheon plates, replace system gauges, replace two inspector test valves and piping. Replace damaged heads in building. Building # 27 - Recreation Clean out Fire Dept connections and replace caps. Relocate three heads in gymnasium storage room, replace upright head with a pendant head in library, replace head outside of library coated with a foreign substance. Replace inspector's test valve and system pressure gauges. Add coverage under duct work in the air make up room second floor..
