- Description
- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. ONE (1) TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FORHIGH SPEED DATA ACQUISITION RF CAPTURE TURNKEY SYSTEM.Companies shall acknowledge allamendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subjectsynopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to respond to vendor questions. The due date for receipt of offers IS NOT extended.Q1. The technical specification state that sampling rate needs to be 3GHz, but that thebandwidth needs to be 400MHz. However, the 3GHz ADC would give them a 3GHz bandwidth.. I'm not sure which spec to follow, or if I am missing something.A1. We must have an input bandwidth that is > 200MHz. This means the sampling rateneeds to be > 400 MHz.Q2. what is the center frequency of the RF signal to be recorded/captured? A2. 1413.5Q3. What are the expected power (or voltage) levels of the RF signal to berecorded/captured?A3. -30dBm-->0dBmQ4. What are the expected environmental operating conditions: (e.g. lab, hangar, airborne, seaborne, etc.)A4. AirborneQ5. Is it acceptable to use an A/D sample rate of less than 3GHz if the system designincorporates an RF to IF Downconverter before the A/D converter? A5. We must have an input bandwidth that is > 200MHz. This means the sampling rateneeds to be > 400MHz.Q6. Is there any NRE that would be acceptable in this bid? A6. Yes, you may break out the NRE for engineering, assembly, and testing with thedevelopment of this unit, however selection and award will be based on the lowest priced, technically acceptable quoter.Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASAAcquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on September 12, 2011.
