Background Information for the Event: The Department of Veterans Affairs wants to solicit input and expertise from Federal Supply Schedule holders involved in VA's end-to-end acquisition process.VA identifies that our FSS holder community is a critical component to our success in meeting the challenges of sustaining modern day Veterans. We invite all Federal Supply Schedule holders to attend the Chicago, IL National FSS Forum on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. This is an opportunity for you to help VA to gain feedback about being a part of the FSS, how the NAC's realignment has impacted you and suggestions on improving the acquisition lifecycle. Participants will also benefit from an exceptional opportunity to network with and gain insider knowledge from industry peers. II. Objectives of the Event: "Continue the effective process of gathering feedback on the VA acquisition lifecycle that started at the August 2009 SRT Forum in Washington, DC & continued on in 2010 and currently in 2011 "Gain facilitated feedback on topics pertaining to NAC realignment, acquisition, award/delivery, and closeout/performance reviews III. Agenda: TimeDescription 8:00 am Registration and Networking 8:30 amIntroduction "Welcome "Goals of this forum; why it's important "Forum Agenda "Roles of attendees, facilitators, VA representatives 8:45 amSRT/FSS Update "Overview of NAC/FSS chanages: Its goals and actions to date "Signs of progress "Additional challenges ahead 9:30 amBREAK 9:45 am (including 10 minute break) Facilitated Breakout Session 1.Thoughts or impressions about working with NAC/FSS 2.Feedback on the stages of the FSS business process 3.Discussion of focus area 4.Develop a group list of questions to be posed to VA staff 12:00 pmLUNCH (participants on their own) 1:15 pmParticipant questionnaire (electronic questionnaire tool with individual hand-held units 1:30 pmPlenary Session: Breakout Groups Report 1.Facilitators report back on the morning breakout sessions. 2.Report to group on survey results (both MSU Supplier Perception Survey NAC specific results and participant questionnaire) 3:15 pmBREAK 3:30 pmAsk the VA Question and answer session (facilitated by Ambit staff) with panel of VA leaders 4:30 pmWinding Down "Next steps "Feedback on this summit; ideas to improve future forums "Final thoughts "Adjourn 4:45 pmNetworking Reception Informal networking opportunity.
