Description

The Contractor shall provide one Chief Perfusionist and enough perfusion/auto-transfusion staff to cover cases up to 24 hours per day, 7 days a week with a 45-minute response time to the VA Boston Healthcare System's West Roxbury campus. We expect this to be 1.0 FTEE Chief Perfusionist and 2.5 FTEE Staff Perfusion/Auto-transfusionist. The contractor shall provide the following services on an as needed basis. The perfusion/auto-transfusionist shall report to the operating room one hour before the case is scheduled for setup. The majority of elective cases are scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The perfusion/auto-transfusionist will stay until all cases are complete and SICU/PACU sign-off is received.
