NOTICE OF INTENT: The VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach FL intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Boston Scientific Corporation, 1 Boston Scientific Place, Natick, MA 0170-1537 to purchase a SpyGlass Endoscopy Direct Visualization System from Boston Scientific. This is a notice of intent for Sole Source procurement under Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The associated NAICS Code is 339112. This is a Notice of Intent and is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than noon, September 30, 2011 and all responses will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
