Description

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), managing contractor of the Savannah River Site (SRS) for the Department of Energy (DOE), solicits interested and NRC qualified sources for the Transportation, and Disposal of up to 49 low level radioactively contaminated Exchangers. Only firms possessing proper Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Licenses and documentation of successfully completing Management Review Council,(MRC) or DOECAP Audits need apply. Subcontractor is to provide all services required to rig, load, haul (trailer to rail spur, load railcars), and ship by rail to an approved Disposal Facility. They shall shall have an existing Quality Assurance Program for submittal and approval, and a Experience Modification Rate (EMR), of 1.0 or less, three (3) year average Total Recordable Rate of 3.6 or less. A Typical Heat Exchanger has nominal outside dimension of 33.5' X 8' X12' and weighs approximately 100 tons. This is a Sources Sought posting only, complete Technical Specifications will be issued with the Request for Proposal (RFP). Any company interested shall submit a letter of interest to James McDonald (email acceptable) before October 14,2011.
