- Solicitation - W912DS-11-T-0019 The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ), in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures specified under FAR Part 13, for services to provide all labor, support equipment and other related requirements outlined in EM 385-1-1, including Section 30 dated 15 September 2008 for diving operations at the Troy Lock and Dam, Hudson River, 1 Bond Street, Troy, New York. The EM 385-1-1 is available at http://www.usace.army.mil/CESO/pages/EM385-1-1.aspx. Surface supplied air with voice communication will be used for all diving activities. All work will be performed during one 8-hour work day. Typically, the work will be performed during the first week of December each year; however, the Government reserves the right to schedule the work at any time with adequate notice and coordination with the Contractor. On the day of performance, the dive team shall be on the site and prepared to work between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M. with a one-half hour lunch period. The work that may be required to be performed by the dive team consists of underwater inspections and/or clearing debris at various features of the Troy Lock and Dam, including but not limited to the lock walls, dam spillways, upper and lower cofferdam sills, gate sills, gates, culvert valve trash racks, guidewalls, etc. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 561990 with a small business size standard of $7,000,000. Quotes are due by 4:00 PM on 17 October 2011. The media selected for issuance of RFQ and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet. Paper copies of this solicitation and amendment, if any, will not be available or issued. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7007, all vendors who want access to the solicitation must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR), located at www.ccr.gov, and Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps), located at http://www.fbo.gov, in order to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal Agencies.
