- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, intends to solicit on a sole source basis to Dixequip, Inc, Houston, TX for the production of one (1) 463L Pallet Trailer, P/N 103600 in support of the CH-53K. The Government does not own data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to negotiate this procurement under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Dixequip, Inc. is the sole designer and is the only known source to fulfill this requirement. The 463L Pallet Trailer, P/N 103600 has roller configuration that allows both the 463L and regular industry palletized loads to be rolled into aircraft by either manual or winch means. Can be towed from either the front or the side. Can be independently adjusted at all four corners to match aircraft attitude in various environments, i.e. improved road or unimproved field. Meets minimum dimensions needed to operate around and within CH-53K. It also has a hydraulic system agile enough to manipulate the trailer into the positions necessary at the necessary force loads to safely permit loading of the CH-53K. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all written responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Navy anticipates the award to be a firm fixed price contract. Vendors seeking an award of a Government Contract must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
