- Description
- Request for Information (RFI) for Industry's Human System IR&D Investments & Joint Service Human Systems Technology Interchange Workshop 2012 In the March-May 2012 timeframe, the 711th Human Performance Wing's Human Effectiveness Directorate (711 HPW/RH) intends to host a joint Department of Defense (DoD) Human Systems Technology Interchange Workshop for Independent Research and Development (IR&D). This joint service workshop will be facilitated by the Air Force IR&D Program Office at AFRL/XPP in collaboration with the relevant Air Force, Army, and Navy counterparts in the Human Systems Community of Interest (HS CoI). Specific dates and venue for this workshop are being considered and will be posted in FEDBIZOPPS within 45-60 days of this posting. The CoI is primarily interested in programs and technologies related to the Human Systems Defense Technology Area (DTA), which is divided into four sub-areas: System Interface and Cognitive Processing; Protection, Sustainment, and Physical Performance; Personnel, Training, and Leader Development; and Social, Cultural & Behavioral Understanding. To assist in planning for the 2012 joint workshop event, the 711 HPW/RH is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to obtain market insight into (1) industry's primary focus areas in the core competencies of human systems technology, (2) corporate IR&D points of contact (POCs), (3) potential interest in workshop participation, and (4) level of corporate IR&D investment for human systems-related technology.
