Description
Synopsis - SOCOM The US Army Office of the Project Manager Soldier Weapons (PM-SW) and the US Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) in conjunction with the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and other Department of Defense (DoD) organizations has a requirement for investigating the generation, propagation, and interaction of various target effects produced from advanced weapons, munitions, energy technologies and other means to meet the full spectrum of special mission needs. The contractor will serve as liaison to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Combat Applications Group (CAG) by maintaining a working presence at Ft Bragg and visiting other key USASOC/CAG locations to accomplish statement of work tasking. The personnel supporting this effort will need to have extensive experience, skills and knowledge with CAG processes and requirements, as this will be a prerequisite to gain access to the required data, offices and agencies. Work efforts would require performance clearance up to and including the SECRET level. PM-SW and ARDEC seek to rapidly prototype promising technologies and introduce them for immediate user evaluations or transition to rapid fielding; to develop and execute training and sustainment plans for advanced systems; and to facilitate transition to and execution of Programs of Record within USSOCOM and/or the DoD Services. The Government anticipates the award of an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a period of five (5) years with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) task orders being issued for this requirement, utilizing 100% Small Business Set-Aside procedures. This pre-solicitation notice does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP shall be available electronically at the following internet addresses: http://www.fbo.gov, and http://procnet.pica.army.mil on or about 15 days from the date of this announcement. NOTE: Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database by accessing the CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for contract award. Proposals shall be required within thirty (30) days of RFP issuance. The Point of Contact (POC) for this requirement is Paul Fiorello, Contract Specialist, ACC-NJ-ET, Building 10B, Picatinny, NJ 07806-5000. Email: paul.fiorello@us.army.mil and Telephone is 973-724-5283.
