- Description
- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. In accordance with FAR Part 10 the Internal Revenue Service is conducting market research to determine if there are adequate Small Businesses, SBA-certified HUBZone, SBA-certified 8(a), or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) contractors available for a proposed procurement, who meet the specific criteria outlined below. This is not a Solicitation Announcement, or Request for Proposal/Quotation. This notice does not constitute any commitment by the Government, nor will it result in a subsequent award. The purpose is solely to conduct market research to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the Government to establish an appropriate acquisition decision. The IRS will not award a contract on the basis of responses or pay for the preparation of any information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this notice. After completing an analysis of the responses, the Government will determine whether to limit competition to 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, or small business firms, or to proceed with issuing an unrestricted solicitation, inviting full and open competition. The purpose of this procurement is to provide preventative and repair (remedial) maintenance services for two (2) Xerox 665 Free Flow Scanners. Preventative maintenance shall consist of scheduled service calls necessary to maintain the equipment in first-class operating condition (e.g., cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing parts when needed). Repair (remedial) service shall consist of unscheduled service calls necessary for repairs. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 811212 with a corresponding size standard of $25 million. Firms, who have the experience, as well as an interest in doing business with the IRS, should submit a Capabilities Statement (5 page limit) in sufficient detail that the Government can determine their experience, skills and capability as it relates to the services described in this notice to potentially fulfill the Government's requirements. Please include firm name, point of contact, and address and indicate the type of business (e.g., large business, small business, 8(a), woman owned, HUBZone, SDVOSB). Responses shall be submitted by 12:00 noon on October 21, 2011 via email to Raina.N.Baker@irs.gov. TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED.
