Description
NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the International SpaceStation Common Communications for Visiting Vehicles (C2V2) System.The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The procurement is a full and open competition.The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 336419 and 1,000 employees.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.The release date of the Draft RFP (DRFP) is October 14, 2011. After its release,NASA/JSC will hold a pre-proposal conference on October 27, 2011. For instructions andinformation on this pre-proposal conference and one-on-one meetings please refer to theC2V2 Website. This will allow industry to ask questions specific to the DRFP.Industryis requested to submit questions in writing so that the Government may officiallyrespond. Questions regarding the DRFP are due to the Contracting Officer, Kirby L.Condron, by November 2, 2011.The anticipated release date of the Final RFP is about November 22, 2011, with ananticipated proposal due date on or about January 12, 2012.Updated information concerning the acquisition and schedule can be viewed at thefollowing website when it becomes available:http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/issc2v2/ NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
