Description
This solicitation is for NSN: 4920-01-183-1872; P/N: RE468230001-3; NOUN: Aircraft Maintenance Fixture; DIM: 44" Ht. x 26" W. x 100" L, 272 Lbs. ; MATL: Aluminum; FUNC: Fixture is used for aligning the vertical stabilizer on the F-15. QTY: 5 ea.; DEST: FE2067, Robins AFB. Delivery Schedule is 120 days after receipt of contract. Solicitation will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov web site only, on or about 28 October, 2011, with a response date on or about 28 November 2011. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED and no hard copies will be mailed out. This Acquisition is sole source to The Boeing Company, Cage Code 76301, 6200 J. S. McDonnell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63134-1939. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Supplies or services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency needs. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirements with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. All potential offerors should contact the buyer identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsmen will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsmen does not participate in the evaluation of proposals in the source selection process.
