Description
Introduction: Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC), Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the Natick Soldier System Center (NSSC), intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to: immixTechnology, Inc. 8444 Westpark Dr, Ste 200 McLean, VA 22102-5102 THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available. 1. Nature and description of the supplies or services required to meet the agency's needs: Lotus Domino Software License Support (12 months) for NSCC to support PTS Installation services. 2. A demonstration that the proposed contractor is the only source available to provide these services or goods (i.e. unique qualifications, proprietary rights, etc.): ImmixTechnology, Inc. provides software and support based on the DoD preferred ESI contract, #DABL01-03-A-1006. ImmixTechnology, Inc. is the sole source for IBM parts on this contract. IBM is the software mfg, no other vendor offers Lotus Domino. 3. A description of the market research that was conducted and the results, or a statement of the reason a market research was not conducted: Other vendors who would cover support have provided quotes exceedingly higher and are not part of the DoD preferred ESI contract. 4. Any other facts supporting the use of other than full and open competition: Services are currently running in Support of NSSC. Maintain software license contract to be compliant in accordance with AR25-1. 5. A statement of the actions, if any, the agency may take to remove or overcome any barriers to competition before any subsequent acquisition for the supplies or services required: None.
