The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 18 Contracting Office intends to award a contract sole-source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C.2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy requirements This requirement is for BRONCHOSCOPY SUTITE, CYSTO SUITE, GI SUITES, AND ERCP SUITE BOOMS, LIGHTS, TOWERS AND INTEGRATION SYSTEMS AND OTHER ANCILLARY COMPONENTS. The requirement is for the communication, booms, surgical lights and tow integration system at the Columbia VAMC to be used in the Bronchoscopy, GI, ERCP, and Cysto Surgical Suites at the Tucson VA Healthcare System. The communication, endoscopy booms, surgical lights and tower integration is an all encompassing OR system that enables the surgical suite to communicate with other OR room; pathology; ICU and other areas throughout the facility. The requirements for the integration system are as follows: 1. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government in the future. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 4:00 pm CST, 31 October 2011. All information submitted should demonstrate/support the offeror's capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email to Zachary.harris@va.gov with the total file size being no more than 5 pages long.
