- Description
- Automated Multiuser Tool Box technology presentation/display during Air Mobility Command’s Maintenance Group Commanders Conference. Headquarters, Air Mobility Command (AMC) Maintenance Division will host an “Automated Multiuser Tool Box (AMTB) presentation/display,” 29 November 2011 at Scott AFB, Illinois during the Mobility Air Forces’ Maintenance Group Commanders Conference. For this presentation, the AMC Maintenance Division is seeking industry/academia information on current-to-near-term material solutions that could be fielded in AMC maintenance units. Desired AMTB capabilities include any/all of the following: tool management software must be compatible to the existing AMC tool control software (TC Max); manned and unmanned tool management solutions that improve tool management, accountability and will reduce Foreign Object Damage (FOD) potential; sustainment packages; and solutions that will save AMC time, money, and improve efficiencies. Interested companies and academia that have experience, knowledge, and/or developmental efforts or concepts concerning AMTBs are invited to submit a brief, UNCLASSIFIED abstract (no more than three pages in length). The abstract should describe: 1) the company’s or academia’s tool management solutions, 2) how the material solution would be integrated into AMC maintenance units, 3) types of sustainment packages available, and 4) how the solution will save AMC time, money, and improve efficiencies. HQ AMC Maintenance Division will select the most applicable abstracts and invite selected companies/academia (based upon the abstracts submitted) to set up a presentation/display to a government AMTB focused audience. The audience is expected to include representatives from HQ AMC/A4, AMC/A4 field units, and AMC/A7KQ Contracting. Abstracts should focus on current and near-term (within 5 years) efforts/concepts. Abstracts shall be written using Microsoft Word; email to: a4.amtb.industryday@us.af.mil no later than (NLT) 11:59 pm CDT on 15 November 2011. Please do not include videos. HQ AMC/A4 will notify selected companies and academia NLT 21 November. Information gained from “Automated Multiuser Tool Box (AMTB) presentation/display” will be used to enhance continuous exchange of efficiencies, problems, practices, and solutions among government organizations. Additionally, information gained may be used to inform senior leaders and become the basis for defining requirements. Questions/additional information can be sent to email: a4.amtb.industryday@us.af.mil Note: Information presented and obtained during “Automated Multiuser Tool Box Industry Day technology presentation/display” shall not be considered as a solicitation for competitive bid, nor will it obligate the government to any contractual action. The information requested herein will be used within the Air Force/DOD to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. The Air Force/DOD will not discuss, accept, or evaluate any unsolicited proposal from any industry representative. Additionally, the appearance of any industry/academic representative is not intended as, and does not imply, any endorsement of, or preference for, the particular industry representative. Attendance is strictly voluntary and at vendor's and/or academic expense. The government will not reimburse any costs related to contractor/academic abstract/presentation submissions or attendance.
