- PURPOSE: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct market research which will be used to plan and implement an acquisition strategy to procure services relating to the following: Provide maintenance and support for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) communication as well as supporting Voice Over Internet Protocol packet network connectivity Provide 24 hour per day, 7 day per week support maintaining and repair/replacing each end item, end item subcomponent, all firmware (at existing version levels), and all software (at existing version levels) contained in and required by the system's installation design and the manufacturer's specifications Ensure 24 hour per day, 7 day per week operation of the FPS Motorola Gold Elite dispatch systems, for both the Central Electronic Bank (CEB) and dispatch consoles at four major locations - Battle Creek, Michigan, Denver, Colorado, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Suitland Maryland. Provide service and maintenance for nationwide communication system to include repeaters, comparators, radio base stations, etc. Specific areas of Radio maintenance and support include: Project Management support Preparing and maintaining required system documentationMaintenance and Service Support for Voice over Internet Packet (VoIP) radio communications network Developing and maintaining Annual service schedules Test and Evaluation prior to implementation Replacement of Network related hardware and software This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue a Request for Proposal in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in responding to this RFI. TARGET AUDIENCE : Businesses that can provide maintenance and service support for a nationwide VoIP packet network Requested Information Interested vendors are requested to submit a maximum 10 page statement of their knowledge, experience and capabilities to perform the following: a) Project management assigned by the Contractor shall have, at minimum, five years of documented prior experience in program management of radio system maintenance and technical support projects/contracts that are equal in magnitude to the scope of the FPS requirements for this contract. b) Expert knowledge of VoIP packet radio communications network c) Expert knowledge Frame relay networks and Multiple Platform Label Switching (MPLS). d) Ability to manage and implement annual maintenance and service support for LMR communication and VoIP packet network connectivity nationwide. e) Ability to manage and implement annual maintenance and service for over 8,000 Motorola Mobile and Handheld VHF and UHF Radio. f) Ability to provide Customer Care/Helpdesk Support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to include holidays.
