- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), Code 7210 has a requirement for the two part liquid polymer NGD-9 that will be applied to the Navy's WHITEFISH submarine model to support R&D testing. NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement for the NGD-9 with the Goodrich Corporation, Jacksonville, FL 32226-3402, who maintains proprietary rights to manufacture and distribute the product. The applicable North American Industry classification system (NAICS) code for this requirement is 326291 with a size standard of 500 employees. NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12, and award a firm-fixed price purchase order This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All contractors and individuals doing business with the Federal government must be registered at the central contractor registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements can be located via the Internet at www.ccr.gov. Responses that are non-compliant with any of these instructions may be rejected without further consideration for award. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that responded to this announcement within the required timeframe will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussion and/ or award. However, all responsible sources submitting capabilities statements within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may forward their capabilities statements to the Government POC on or before Nov 8, 2011 and must reference RFQ N00167-12-T-0002.
