Description
Purpose: The General Service Administration, National Capital Region, Public Buildings Service, DC Service Center (GSA, NCR, PBS, WPMD) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to confirm there are at least two responsible, small businesses, a certified 8(a) small business, certified HUBZone business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Woman, and/or Minority Owned Business interested in providing repair and alterations for the second and third floors of the Bostetter Courthouse located in Alexandria, Virginia. The firm listed in the categories above will be required to complete the following: •1. Contractor to provide all labor, material, equipment, coordination and supervision to accomplish the renovation of the 2 nd and 3 rd floor office space. •2. To construct the project that it complies with all applicable codes and environmental requirements. •3. All work shall be performed after regular hours and weekends. Note that after hours and weekend work may be performed only with prior approval from the facilities building representative. •4. Contractor will dispose of all debris and will clean work sites at the end of each workday. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220. This RFI is requests for interested firms listed above to describe their technical capabilities and demonstrate their experience in the area of repair and alteration services. Interested firms are requested to provide a written response to the requested information below to assist in determining the potential levels of interest, adequate competition, and technical capability within the business community to provide the required services. 1. What is the name of your business? 2. What is your POC's name, telephone number, e-mail address, and business address? 3. Is your firm a small business, a certified 8(a) small business, certified HUBZone business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Woman, and/or Minority Owned Business concern according to NAICS 236220 ? 4. Interested firms referenced above are to submit a written response (maximum 5 pages). 5. Is your business eligible to perform the tasks as described in this document? 6. Has your firm completed interior renovation and demolition projects within the past 5 years? 7. What is your firm's past performance rating? 8. Do you have design capability? 9. Do you have access to Electrical and Plumbing (EP) trades? 10. Do you have experience working with high grade interior finishes to include flooring and millwork? Su bmit responses to this RFI to linda.jacobs@gsa.gov by 2:00pm EST on November 1, 2011. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this RFI. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI marked proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Whatever information is provided in response to this RFI will be used to assess the business market in the areas of repair and alteration. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
