The VORTAC consists of VHF Omnidirectional Radio Range (VOR) and Tactical Air Navigation Systems (TACAN). Combined, they create the VORTAC system. The FAA reserves the right to review and verify each offeror's program eligibility. All submittals, including attachments, shall be submitted electronically to the following address: christopher.ekadis@faa.gov. Responses should be submitted in a Microsoft Word document (preferred); however, portable document format (i.e..pdf file) is acceptable. The FAA will not respond to telephonic inquiries. Vendors must respond by 3:00 p.m. (CST), Friday, November 4, 2011. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. This announcement shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these products. Responders to this announcement may be asked to provide additional details/information based on their initial response. The final determination by the FAA not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the FAA.
