Description
DESCRIPTION: The VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System intends to solicit a commercial (FAR Part 12) competitive unrestrictive open market requirement for Preventative Maintenance and Full Service Agreement on an Anesthesia Respiratory Monitor System. This is notice of intent solicit competition to the maximum extent practicable for this service. More detailed information will be found in the solicitation document to include a detailed scope of work and price schedule. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is November 2, 2011 with a quote due by November 14, 2011. Contractor will provide all tools, test equipment, original equipment manufacturer parts, labor and transportation to implement a multi-year full service agreement on the GE Healthcare S/5 COMPACT AIRWAY monitors located at the Omaha VA. This plan covers manufacturer recommended preventative maintenance (see above), all labor, all travel, expenses and all parts for an unlimited number of on-demand service visits and telephone support calls around the clock. All product hardware enhancements shall be included at no additional charge. Contractor will be allowed on Site Coverage from 8am to 5pm, 5 days a week. Work includes, but is not limited to, periodically performing preventive maintenance, thoroughly inspecting and testing the Compact Airway Systems at Omaha, making adjustments to, effecting repairs and replacing parts and keeping existing system software current with manufacturer's recommendations. Period of performance is December 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012 with 1 one year option to align with expiration of current equipment. This contract is for service of the actual anesthesia machines that have the compact airway units installed in them. All quotes received by 2:00 P.M. Central Time, November 14, 2011, will be considered by the Government.
