Description

Department of Veterans Affairs Notice of Intent to Sole Source: The Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 1310 24th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37212 intends to award a sole source procurement to Eaton Corporation, of Necedah, WI for the maintenance of Eaton Uninterruptible Power Supply Equipment. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219 with a size standard of $19.0 million. The Government believes that Eaton Corporation is the only authorized provider for the maintenance of Eaton 9390-100-120 and Eaton PDU-30-125 Uninterruptible Power Supply equipment. This is a sole source procurement utilizing, 41 U.S.C. 253 and 10 U.S.C. 2304 Other than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can provide these services may give written notification, no later than 4:30 PM CST, November 7, 2011. Supporting evidence of the ability to provide these services must be furnished in sufficient detail to Dana Dixon, Contract Specialist at dana.dixon@va.gov. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
