Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE FOR NURSING HOME. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Alexandria VA Medical Center, intends to release a commercial solicitation for a Nursing Home care facility for qualified Veterans Affairs patients. The Nursing Home facility must be within five (5) miles of the boundaries of the city of Kinder, Louisiana. All contract details, which include full specifications and Statement of Work, will be included in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates the award of a Commercial Indefinite Delivery Requirements contract to the successful offeror of this requirement. The period of performance is 01 February 2012 through 31 January 2013 with (4) option years. All work is to be performed in accordance with the Statement of Work. The designated North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 623110. It is the VA Alexandria policy not to accept offers at prices exceeding the allowable, prevailing Medicaid rates for this locale. Any contractor who wishes to receive a copy of the RFP may submit a request in writing. A fax is also acceptable. The Fax Number is (318) 483-5063. The Contracting Office is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs VA Medical Center, P.O. Box 69004, Alexandria, LA 71306-9004. The physical location is 2495 Shreveport Highway, Pineville, Louisiana. All offerors shall be registered with the CCR database at www.ccr.gov to be considered for an award. This requirement is subject to the availability of funds. The Solicitation should be available on or about December 9, 2011 at www.fedbizops.gov with proposals due on January 9, 2012. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address and offerors are responsible for obtaining any/all amendments issued.
