- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUISITION FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This is a market research tool to determine the availability of sources prior to RFP. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Coast Guard Facilities Design and Construction Center (FDCC), implied or otherwise to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. An award will not be made on the offers received in response to this notice. The Government is not responsible for the cost associated with any effort expended in responding to this notice. All small businesses as well as large businesses are encouraged to respond. Upon review of industry responses to this Sources Sought Notice, the Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of a full and open competition is in the Government’s best interest. It is the Governments intention if the solicitation is issued to award a stand/alone contract. The estimated dollar range of the contract is between $250,000 and $500,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 236118 and the small business size standard is $33.5 million. The successful contractor to any forthcoming solicitation shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, and all equipment necessary to perform the work described below: The kitchen renovations in fourteen (14), four bedroom residential units in Phase I Housing, located at the Coast Guard Training Center (TRACEN) in Cape May, New Jersey. Work items include demolition of existing kitchens and laundry rooms, abatement of asbestos floor tiles and mastic; installation of new cabinets and countertops and new appliances. Statement of Capabilities Submittal Requirements: The Statement of Capability (SOC) will determine the feasibility and/or basis for the Government’s decision to proceed with acquisition. Interested firms must submit a SOC, which describes in detail the firm’s capability of providing the work described above. Your SOC shall include the following: (1) full name and address of the firm; (2 ) name of two principals (including title, telephone numbers); (3) copy of any certifications (if 8(a) certified, provide the SBA Business Opportunity Specialist name and phone number assigned); HUB Zone certification, Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) status, and SDVOSB status or Small Business status; (4) DUNS number and CAGE Code; (5) provide information on four (4) similar recent past projects that best illustrates your qualifications for this contract; and (6) Bonding Capacity. Submit your SOC no later than 2:00PM November 28, 2011 via email to Mr. Vince Bowman at vincent.w.bowman@uscg.mil.
