Description
SLAC seeks vendors that can provide the following: 1 Each of Large Signal, Fast, X-ray Camera with the following Specifications and Characteristics: 1) Square pixels with sides between 75 and 125 micrometers in length. 2) Array size of at least 4 million pixels. 3) Maximum noise in a pixel should be equivalent to less than a 16 keV photon. 4) Energy integrating not photon counting design. 5) Frame rate of at least 10 times per second with the pixel and array sizes specified on items 1 and 2 as well as the signal-to-noise ratio given in 3. 6) Maximum full-range signal with a linear response equivalent to at least 50,000 8-keV x-rays. 7) Hole in center of detector plane so that the primary x-ray beam can pass through it. The inner, clear diameter of this pass-through beampipe should be between 4 mm and 8 mm. The diameter of the insensitive area surrounding the hole should not exceed 15 mm. 8) Entrance window and beampipe walls should be opaque to visible and near visible light. 9) Entrance window should transmit over 95 percent of incident 8,000 eV x-rays. 10) Detector quantum efficiency should exceed 95 percent for 8,000 eV x-rays. 11) Must be capable of being triggered by external signal to allow synchronization with a light source. 12) Radiation tolerance - should function after a fluence of 1 x 1016 8,000 eV photons per square centimeter. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. VENDORS INTERESTED IN BEING CONSIDERED AS A POTENTIAL SOURCE SHOULD IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS AN "INTERESTED PARTY" VIA THE FBO PORTAL. DO NOT CONTACT THE SUBCONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR.
