Description
This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors for the Replacement of Deteriorated Light Poles and to Rehabilitate the Electrical System at Buildings 551 and 574 at NAS 2 Sigonella, Sicily, Italy by means of by means of a firm-fixed-price construction contract. All contractors proposing on Department of Defense solicitations must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of the contract. The requirements will be procured utilizing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210. The estimated price range is 18,727 “74,900 Euros. The anticipated requirement includes, but is not limited to, all labor, material, and equipment to remove six concrete light poles with conduit and wiring, and installation of four new light poles with 8 each 1,000W floodlights in order to provide average uniform illumination of 350 Lux, with underground conduit, wiring and concrete pits along with a new grounding system. The requirement also involves removal of the existing electrical interior distribution system with panels, light fixture devices, conduit and wiring and installation of a new electrical system for building 574 by means of a firm fixed-price construction contract complete and ready for use. All work shall be performed in accordance with the most current version of the Army Corps of Engineers Safety Manual, EM-385-1-1, and in accordance with all applicable Italian safety laws and norms. The anticipated period of performance is 120 calendar days from the date of contract award. Offerors can request a copy of the solicitation, N33191-12-T-0004, when it becomes available. The solicitation is expected for issuance on 14 December 2011. Quotes are expected to be due by 14:00 Central European Time (CET) on 04 January 2012. All dates are tentative and are subject to change. A pre-quote conference and site visit will be indicated on the solicitation documents. The pre-quote conference and site visit are tentatively scheduled for 21 Dec 2011.
