- Description
- The purpose of this amendment to W31P4Q-12-T-0038 is to provide answers to the following questions that were submitted: Question 12: In regards to the Virtual Servers and Dedicated Servers Security, what DoD regulations/policies/standards should the AGS adhere to? Answer 12: Required perimeter security services for service provider: - Manageable Network Firewall - Distributed Denial of Service Detection and Prevention - Virtual Private Network (VPN) accessible Question 13: Would the contractor be performing the physical to virtual conversions in the current environment? Answer 13: Not sure what this means....there is no current environment. This is a new requirement. The government expects the cloud and dedicated servers to be set up and running on the provider's existing service network for AGS to use, therefore all physical to virtual conversions would have been done by the provider. Question 14: In regards to Backup Services for the Virtual and Dedicated Servers, what level of details are needed for the backup requirements as stated in the SOO? Answer 14: There is additional backup information included in the synopsis change dated Dec. 01 2011 11:41 am. The provider's quote should show the government how they plan to address the 4 bullets listed under the backup services for both dedicated and cloud servers to ensure the government that the provider can meet this requirement. The detailed plan for backup services can be provided 30 days after award. Question 15: What specific metrics does AGS need to have monitored? Answer 15: Currently, the only metrics that the provider would need to provide is basic network statistics or metrics, for example: connectivity, number of active connections, cpu and hardware utilization, memory utilization. These metrics should include the incoming and outgoing bandwidth use for both the dedicated servers and cloud servers. This should also include any bandwidth use "internal" to the network, for instance dedicated to cloud and vice versa. The government would like to have the right to modify the metrics reported during the life of the contract if needed by AGS.
