- J & A --Wylie Load Moment Indictor A. The following four (4) Wylie LMI Units are in need of repairs, calibration and/or general/periodic maintenance: i. One (1) Wylie W1250L Load Moment System installed on the Poe Lock Stiff Leg. This system is not functioning correctly (with the likely cause being the line rider and/or associated components) and need to be repaired and calibrated. ii. One (1) Wylie BS7262 1990 250/53605 Load Moment System installed on a 20 Ton Gantry Crane in a hydroelectric plant. This system has a damaged sensor cable and retention reel that connects the load cell to the Wylie system. The cable reel needs to be replaced with more heavy duty reel, capable of reeling storing and reeling at minimum 115 feet of sensor cable. The sensor cable also needs to be replaced. After these parts are replaced the system needs to calibrated and checked for other repairs that may be necessary. iii. One (1) Wylie BS7262 1990 250/53605 Load Moment System installed on a 15 Ton Gantry Crane in a hydroelectric plant. This system requires general/preventive maintenance and calibration. iv. One (1) Wylie BS7262 1990 250/53605 Load Moment System installed on a 30 Ton Gantry Crane in a hydroelectric plant. This system requires general/preventive maintenance and calibration. B. Upon completion of work field service reports shall be submitted to respective sections to include repairs made, items not capable of being repaired, status of each LMI, and a list of components replaced and/or needed for replacement. C. The systems are to be serviced in their current location within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, Soo Area Office facility, in Sault Sainte Marie, MI. D. The personnel necessary to operate each crane for the purpose of servicing the LMI systems shall be provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. E. Each service technician shall either possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card, or submit information to conduct a background check two (2) weeks prior to arriving at the facility. Technicians unable to pass the background check will not be allowed to enter the facility, which may result in delays or cancellation of the contract with all associated costs being the responsibility of the awarded contractor. F. The contractor will begin work at a time and date agreed upon between the government and awarded contractor, but no more than one month after the award date. This work should require an estimated five (5) days on site at the below address. G. The vendor shall include transportation, lodging, and all shipping cost in the quotation.
