- NASA/DFRC has a requirement for a U-20 Ultrafast laser marking system.The laser marking system must include the following:- Operational on deliver with no need for consumables to operate- Compliant with MIL-STD-130- Class 1compliant- Safety requirement, with appropriate safety glasses (ANSI Z136.1-2007 compliant)- Class 4 operational/compliant- use with larger fabricated items(ANSI Z 136.1-2007 compliant)-Laser must have the capability to be removed from the enclosure- Class 1 enclosure with focusing diode (ANSI Z 136.1-2007 compliant)- Rotary Chuck RC Lite - The capability to write on curved surfaces- 20 watt system for high speed productivity- Ability to pause production and re-route information and/or edit text.(A.K.A.- Mark onFly)- A position pointer- Ability to mark within.01 tolerance of a 10 inch window- Power rotary axis- Must be able to mark on metals, plastics, silicon, and composites.- Laptop computer with Laser software in its most current version- Laptop computer manuals and Laser software manual- Mounting Stand (31 legs preferred)- Standard Z-Axis lab jack with breadboard ( 9 x 9 preferred)- Onsite training- Operating and maintenance manuals- Technical supportPlease see attached Statement of work.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Theinformation required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred)no later than December 29, 2011. Quotes/Proposals are due no later then 4:30pm local timeJanuary 4, 2012. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the releaseof amendments (if any).
