Description
Pre-Solicitation Notice “ Industry Forum. Invitation for Bids N40085-12-B-9112; Point of Contact: Laura Chapman, Contract Specialist, (860) 694-4528, e-mail: laura.chapman@navy.mil. Title: Construct Dive Locker Facility at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT. Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Work shall be completed within 365 calendar days after award of contract. Since all of the bids submitted under N40085-11-B-7527, Construct New Dive Locker Facility, exceeded the Government estimate and the project was declared a "bid bust", we are conducting a Forum with any/all interested bidders prior to the follow-on solicitation. It is our hope this forum will provide critical feedback necessary to assist NAVFAC and the architect/engineering team with the re-design (at a new site). All interested contractors and their subcontractors are cordially invited to attend. The forum will be held on Wed., Jan. 11, 2012, at 9:00 AM, at the Naval Submarine Base, Public Works Dept., Bldg 135. Contractors wishing to attend must register by Monday, 9 Jan 2012 by providing the following information: a. Name of Firm (on company letterhead), Full Name of individual, Date of Birth, Place of Birth, and last four of SSN. b. Ensure each individual has picture identification and/or a driver ™s license, and proof of automobile insurance if they are driving. c. Report to Building #500; Base Security with these items for a base pass. Base Security is the right just prior to the Main Entrance. d. If using a company car you will need to go through gate # 7 after you go to Base Security. Gate #7 is the first right on Crystal Lake Road. e. If using a POV go through the Main Gate (2nd entrance on Crystal Lake Road). Building 135 is the first building on the left through the Main Gate. Parking is across the street on the right. f. We will meet in Building 135, in the PWD (east) first floor conference room. g. Cameras are not allowed. h. Only US Citizens are allowed on the Base. i. NO MORE than two people per company for the site visit. This follow-on procurement will be 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small Business under NAICS 236210, Size Standard is $33,500,000. Another synopsis will be posted after Rre-design is complete.
