- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with OPEX Corporation, 305 Commerce Drive, Moorestown, NJ 08057, for the maintenance of an OPEX MPS 40 Sorter and an OPEX Model 51 Extraction Desk. This will be negotiated under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1), as the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. OPEX utilizes proprietary service diagnostic software covered by patents and copyrights that has not been released to any third party sources. SSA anticipates the award of a firm fixed price purchase order for the maintenance performance period of March 23, 2012 thru March 22, 2013 with an option for an additional year and performance to March 22, 2014. SSA shall issue a sole source award under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responses to this notice should be submitted by January 23, 2012. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged.
