Description

VAMC Cleveland Phone System Upgrade Emergency Procurement Sole Source Requirement The Cleveland VA Medical Center (VAMC) Wade Park campus has begun experiencing intermittent busy signals during peak calling times at the Wade Park campus' main phone number 216-791-3800. This is time-sensitive, emergent, and a critical installation impacting the Veterans ability to contact Cleveland VAMC main campus, medical staff and medical services. This is a direct effect of end-of-life technology limiting capacity and from the recent consolidation of the Wade Park and Brecksville campuses. OIT Cleveland worked with our contracted telephone support vendor to determine the scope and cause of the problem. The problem has been determined to be this piece of specific equipment called an "Auto-Attendant" which is unable to handle the increased demand of phone traffic in-bound to the Wade Park campus. In order to expedite resolution of busy signals experienced by Veterans calling into the Cleveland VA Medical Center this portion of the procurement is deemed emergent, necessary, and essential to increase capacity to accommodate this increase in phone traffic experienced by the Cleveland VAMC. This Voice System installation is necessary in order to support and upgrade the existing legacy Auto-Attendant telephone systems at the Cleveland VAMC main campus. Accordingly, the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106, intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to the current inplace vendor Standard Communication, Inc., 5402 Leeds Manor Road, Hume, VA 22639, an SDVOSB, will be utilized to ensure compatibility with existing equipment in the VAMC Cleveland Phone System.
