Description

This is an announcement from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) prior to the issuance of a solicitation. Any inquiries about this solicitation must be in writing and sent to the Contracting Officer's email address: Namphuong.nguyen@va.gov. The MEDVAMC hereby announces its intention to solicit a firm-fixed price contract with a qualified and responsible contractor who shall provide all labor, materials, parts, equipment, transportation, travel, and supervision to perform the following services on the VA-owned Checkpoint Temperature Monitoring Systems located at 2002 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, TX 77030: preventive maintenance, inspection, repair of the Checkpoint Temperature Monitoring Systems, plus hardware and software update and upgrade services. Qualified and responsible contractor will be required to provide the following evidences for their offers to be considered responsible: 1.Evidences of being an authorized factory trained service provider for the above equipment. 2.Evidences of having capability to obtain replacement parts, materials, hardware and software updates and upgrades from the manufacturer of the Checkpoint Temperature Monitoring Systems. 3.Evidences of having past performance experiences in providing the same or substantially the same scope of services on the same equipment systems to other customers who have the same systems as the one mentioned in this notice. The contract resulted from this solicitation will be in effect from award date through September 30, 2012 with 4 one-year options for renewal at the Government's discretion. This solicitation is assigned reference number VA256-12-Q-0279 and is set aside 100% for small business concerns. The NAICS code 334519 and its small business size standard of 500 employees or less apply to this solicitation. This solicitation will be posted and available for download on January 12, 2012 from http://www.fbo.gov/. Offer will be due back in the issuing office on January 27, 2012 4:30 PM (U.S. Central Time). Faxed offers are not acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a quotation that will be considered by the agency. All offerors interested in this solicitation are responsible for monitoring http://www.fbo.gov/ for amendment(s) to this solicitation if any and making sure amendments are acknowledged in accordance with the instructions provided in the solicitation and in amendments themselves. All inquiries about this notice or the solicitation must be in writing to the contracting officer's email at Namphuong.nguyen@va.gov. As of October 1, 2003, all Contractors, both large and small, are required to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award.
