Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a total small business set-aside. This solicitation number is RFQ2393909 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-54. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Station Support/Simplified Acquisitions (SS/SA) Branch has a requirement on behalf of the National Institute on Aging (NIA) to purchase the supply and delivery of dry ice (pellet form). Dry ice in pellet form shall be delivered twice weekly to two locations on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center campus: the Gerontology Research Center (GRC) at 5600 Shock Drive, and the Biomedical Research Center (BRC) at 251 Bayview Drive, Baltimore, MD, 21224. Contractor shall provide 550 lbs. of dry ice pellets per delivery to the Gerontology Research Center, and 900 lbs. of dry ice pellets per delivery to the Biomedical Research Center. Dry ice pellets are to be delivered on Monday and Thursday per week and filled into the dry ice bins at the loading docks at both locations. Deliveries need to be made during normal business hours at each facility. The Period of Performance is 12 months, with four (4) option years. Offers will be evaluated on best value in relation to price. Quotations are to be sent electronically to Hunter A. Tjugum, Contract Specialist, at hunter.tjugum@nih.gov. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. The following FAR provisions apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items, 52.212-2, Evaluation--Commercial Items. Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Condition Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
