Description
The purpose of this Market Survey is to identify potential production sources for Dye, Disperse Red 11, Type II and Dye, Disperse Red 1, Type II that is used in manufacturing of the 40mm red smoke marking cartridge. Specifications applicable to this acquisition include: Dye, Disperse Red 11(Metric), MIL-DTL-51522A(EA), dated 23 November 2010 Dye, Disperse Red 1 (Metric), MIL-DTL-51523A(EA), dated 23 November 2010 The government's interest would be between 500-1k pounds of Dye, Disperse Red 11 Type II and between 3k-5k pounds Dye, Disperse Red 1 Type II with 100 percent option quantity for each. Interested companies should provide minimum production requirements and any production limitations. Request you provide your history producing these dyes. Interested companies need to state country of origin where the dyes are synthesized and state if any of the processes are subcontracted out. Companies need to provide information about their quality system that includes the quality manual's table of contents and a list of revisions to the quality manual. Interested companies need to produce a rough order of magnitude price. Producibility studies are not included in this procurement. Interested sources also need to submit terms and conditions to include warranty information. Please provide a delivery schedule from contract award to First Article Test (FAT) and FAT approval to first production quantity delivery. Also, request a timeframe be provided to deliver a 2 lb pre-award sample. There is not a firm requirement for the dyes. This is for MARKET RESEARCH ONLY. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary and the Government will not be responsible for any obligation nor cost associated with this research. The information provided will be utilized by the contracting office in developing its acquisition approach for potential future requirements. The NAICS code is 325132, number of employees is 750.
