The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center at 2250 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY has a requirement for a construction project 596-10-104 Correct Fire Sprinkler System for Code Compliance. Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials and expertise to completely prepare site for this repair/replacement project, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for PROJECT NUMBER 596-10-104 Correct Fire Sprinklers for Code Compliance at Cooper Drive Division and Leestown Division, VA Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky as required by drawings and specifications. The work includes new installation of sprinkler heads, piping, ceiling grid, tile, and insulation as required by drawings and specifications. The construction cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with your bid if it exceeds $100,000. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (VOSB) CONTRACTORS. NOTE: SDVOSB contractors must be verified and visible in VETBIZ (www.vip.vettbiz.gov) prior to submission of bid. Contractors must register at www.ccr.gov; https://orca.bpn.gov; and https://vets100.vets.dol.gov to be eligible for award. ORCA must reflect a small business size certification for the NAICS code noted herein. All registrations must be up-to-date and correct. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 238220 with the small business size standard of $14.0 million. Solicitation is to be posted to FEDBIZOPPS website (www.fedbizopps.gov) o/a January 11, 2012 with bids due o/a February 27, 2012. Paper solicitation will not be issued. Contractors must obtain solicitation, drawings and amendments (if issued) from this website. Bidders are reminded they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to the solicitation prior to time for bid opening or with their sealed bid.
