- Attachment 2 AGAR 1300GR SPECS Attachment 1 acknowledgement form Item Description QTY Unit Agar FCC 1300GR 2 LB ( NO COST SAMPLE) Government Testing required The United States Department of Agriculture/Plant Protection and Quarantine/Emergence and Release Facility in Sarasota Florida is now accepting samples of AGAR FCC 1300GR for a capabilities study. Processing artificial diet medium is part of the rearing process and Agar is a key ingredient in the diet. APHIS/PPQ/Florida needs Agar FCC 1300GR that will work well in the Florida climate. See attachment 2 for specifications. Testing of Product Contractors wishing to submit a free sample for testing in accordance with the attached specifications will need to submit it by this announcement closing date. The sample needs to be shipped, separate from the attached acknowledgement form, to the APHIS/PPQ Facility in, Sarasota, Florida. A one (2) pound sample of AGAR FCC 1300GR free of cost to the government will be required at the following location by the date and time specified in this announcement: Attn: PSA Clemmie McCants Or John Renshaw Sterile Insect Release Facility USDA/APHIS/PPQ 1833 57TH Street Suite 200 Sarasota, FL 34243 The agar must be packaged in a separate heavy polyethylene inner bag positioned in a fiberboard/cardboard container. Each container shall be sound, clean, well sealed, and marked with product name, lot number, net weight;- Fedbizopps reference number APHIS-567438 and name of Vendor. Sample will not be returned. Interested sources who wish to submit a sample must also complete and return Attachment 1 to the contracting office. Telephonic inquiries will not be honored. Please email all questions regarding subject item(s) prior to Sources Sought closing date to Carol.Dingess@aphis.usda.gov. Small Business concerns are encouraged to participate. This is not a request for competitive proposals, but instead a market research method to determine interested and capable sources. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. Please provide Tax I.D. Number, Duns Number, and point of contact information on the attached form. The Government will not award a contract based on the information received, nor reimburse participants for information or samples they provide. Information or materials provided is strictly voluntary.
